💡 The "Hidden" Sales Tax
In both the USA and Canada, the price you see on the shelf or menu is rarely the final price. Sales tax is added at the register. Expect an additional 5% to 15% to be added to your total depending on the state or province.
Note on Cards: North America is heavily digital. Visa, Mastercard, and Amex are accepted almost everywhere. However, carrying small $1 and $5 bills is highly recommended for valet and bellhop tips.
